My name is Ahmad Rafat.  I was born in 1951 in Tehran, Iran.  A capital city which was not yet a large metropolitan centre.  I was born to an Iranian father and Italian mother in a home which was the editorial headquarters of the "Rafat" weekly publication.  I studied Political Law and later completed my studies in Media Psychology at the Frankfurt University. I began my career in journalism since 1976, and over the years collaborated with major media organizations from Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, as well as contributing to Arab, Iranian and American news agencies. My only preoccupation other than those associated with my profession as a journalist is freedom of speech and Human Right.  I have received numerous awards and recognitions for my activities in this relation.
